Magnolias a beautiful trees that are common on Southern US plantations. The scent is flowery, but subtle. You can use fragrance oils blended with base oils as a personal fragrance, or as a body oil. To refresh potpourri with fragrance oil, cut and dry citrus peels for a week or so in a warm spot. Place the peels in a glass jar; add fragrance oil. Cover the jar, and shake occasionally over a week or so. The peels absorb the oil, and will slowly release their essence into your potpourri when added. Place a few drops on a paper towel in your dryer to provide fragrance to your clothes. Fragrance oils can be blended with lotions as well. Add a few drops to a water mister to scent the air. Do not apply directly to the skin unless you test on a small patch of skin first and know it won't irritate
