Extracted by steam distillation, this clear thin oil has an intense, sweet, woody wintergreen scent. Traditionally used as an anti-inflammatory. **This oil is considered hazardous due to the principal methyl salicylate content. It has been reported to help in rheumatism and arthritis, and to be antiseptic. Do not use during pregnancy or if you are allergic to aspirin.
